Conversations on Studio Ghibli, Animation and the Movies
me too - i would buy any fancy release of totoro they chose to bring out.and then if they brought out a special collectors' edition with commentary from the guy who watered the office plants at the studio i'd buy that too.can't say the same for howl, which i just re-watched...
Jup, it's a nice package. Too bad that the German releases of Studio Ghibli films often aren't that good on the technical side (interlaced NTSC -> PAL transfers, dubtitles etc.) :(
You know, Asuka, I once had the intense pleasure of meeting the guy who watered the office plants at the studio. Takahashi Nakayama. Nice guy.
cool!well, if mr takahashi ever makes the transition to the other side of the watering can—no, wait. that doesn't make any sense, does it...'(^_^A)
I'm not so big into adorning my room with Totoro posters and things, so I would just settle for a second disk that actually had, y'know, real bonus features like Studio Ghibli short films and things like that. It does bother me that I have to pay upwards of $35CAN for a Ghibli film because it's 2-disk, only to have the second disk be pointless.
i actually love the storyboard feature. i don't know if they really require a second disk, or whether they could be fitted onto the one...
