Trailer - Gulliver's Space Travels

I'm sitting around, trying to find something interesting to write for the blog, when I remembered that I mentioned Toei Animation's 1963 movie, Gulliver's Travels Beyond the Moon. It's place in Miyazaki lore is well known, even though it remains somewhat unknown. While a dubbed version appeared in the US in the 1960s (like most of the classic Toei films), a proper DVD release has never made its way beyond Japan. Strange.

In any event, here is the trailer for your enjoyment (embedding was disabled...jerks). I'm still hoping I could find a copy of the full movie on YouTube. Does anybody have a link?

Best I have is a copy on DVD someplace of the film in it's usual less-than-steller condition).

I even have a decent copy of the movie poster and the soundtrack on LP (the US release)!

You can find full film here:

I've done some cleaning on the original DVD retail footage, which was an awful direct copy of a VHS source...

Fantastic find! I'll post the link immediately and download it tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie.

Question: do we have download links for all the other Toei movies from the '50s and '60s? I've seen the US dubs of some of the movies @Youtube. But we should have a complete listing here on the blog for convenience.

Just post any links you find and I'll add them to the database. Thanks again.

There are times when I kinda wish someone would do a fan-edit where the audio from the English dub was synced to a copy of the Japanese version in widescreen. Seeing these pan & scan versions often annoys me, but often we have to accept it for now.

Bothering to update, I uploaded the English version of the film on YouTube myself, audio taken from elsewhere and synced/reedited to the Japanese source. I disabled embedding however to prevent my account from being suspended too quickly.
